front right wheel problem.

the car has been in storage for a good few months now. I remember last time I had it in the mechanics to get an oil change she was up off the ground. I was checking out the underbody a bit and whatnot.

Mechanic was checking tire pressure and when he went to test the front righ tire he noticed it was very loose. He was able to move the whole wheel about an inch towards him. kinda looked like when your spinning a top on a table and it starts to whobble around.

I hit pot hole once pretty damn hard. the car has eibach's all around too so when you hit it kills the whole car. *** know what it did to the suspension components.

could the whole spindle be toast or is that just a ball joint or a tie rod?. personally I think it might be a tie rod but I want opinions.

oh another thing. I had the car towed since it died on me one day. (yeah I know I'll fix it

I noticed that the air damn was ripped off on the left hinge that it's on. car is just too low to tow. are those hard to replace?

thanks for replies.

-simon.

The looseness is probably either the wheel bearing or the ball joint.

The air dam is very easy to replace, about 6 screws.

Press your foot on the brake pedal when trying to rock the wheel. This locks up the whole hub assembly. If it still moves, it certainly isn't the wheel bearing!

Good luck.
Andy.
