Spohn SFC's
Just sharing my excitement.
I had my Spohn SFC's welded in today. Shop did a great job and were impressed with the ease of installation. They really liked these SFC's! I picked the worst roads on the way home to see if there was a difference. Noticeably less squeaks from the T-tops and body. (and my car is gutted, no interior to squelch noise) Well worth it in my opinion.
Also got a new muffler to replace the stupid 82 exhaust setup and a straight pipe instead of my gutted cat. Yay!

Glad to hear it. The SFC, Lower Control Arm mounts and the Wonderbar are the only Spohn products I don't have yet. The SFC is next. Was bummed the attempted Group Purchase fell through.
I just got my Spohn stuff yesterday. SFCs and LCA relos. The stuff looks real nice, comes with good directions also. My friend has the SFCs welded in and zippered across the rocker panels, they virtually eliminated the squeeks, its now as tight as a virgins ****! I will have mine welded in within the next week and will report back.

I would be great if you guys could post pictures of the completed work. Gives my welder something to shoot for.
Spohn has very detailed pics up at his site.
The directions are also very good.

Try a search as well, there are tons of pics floating around here as well.

I too had some Spohn sfc welded in recently and wow what a difference. I thought I was only going to feel the difference when I was pushing the car in turns but even while driving down a relatively smooth road I can feel the difference. By the way mine were the old boxed Spohn type.

The Spohn site pics are better than the ones I took. They're a great reference. My welder said the instructions that were included were very easy to follow and I concur.
Only trouble I had was clearing the bolt that holds the back part of the front fenders to the rockers. Had to move the SFC's in a little just in case I ever need to remove the fender. Wasn't a big deal though, still managed to weld every few inches along the entire length of the SFC's.
I just finished POR'15ing the SFC's last night. It's fun to paint something you'll never look at closely. You can be very sloppy....except I got the stuff all over my arms (hands had gloves) so now I look like a Dalmation.

If you check out the Spohn site (that requires effort on your part)
Spohn makes them for convertibles as well.
hopefully my Spohn SFCs get installed tomorrow...
