Do SFC's really make a difference on a driver
Do SFC's really make a difference on a driver
I've always owned american cars with full frames. Before the firebirds I own now. I was wondering since I've read a lot of different things about it do SFC really make a unibody car feel like a fullframe car? I have no intentions of doing any roadracing or dragracing with my GTA. I just want my GTA to feel as solid as possible!

YES!! My wife almost hated my Iroc and when we rode up to the Auto Fair in Charlotte on Saturday, she commented on how stiff and solid and quieter the car was after I installed the Spohn SFCs...she loves it now.

The sfc's made the car ride much better and the first thing I noticed wth them on is that my t-tops didn't squeek when I pulled out of my driveway.

Thanks Alloy!
Someone told me about BAX before but I had forgotten the name of the company
He told me he had a lot of stuff that he ordered in the USA shipped out thru them and that they indeed have resonable prices.
I once ordered some dropspindles from SUMMIT and they sent them to me via UPS............shipping turned out to be more expensive that the whole order cost!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!
Again, thanks for the advice!!:hail:

BTW...where in Belgium do you ship to regularly?
And what kind of quotes do you get?
I live about 10 miles from the (eastern)Belgian border.
So shipping should be about the same as to Belgium.

I don't remember pricing. My customer has me ship the parts on their account with BAX, but since I discovered bax they ship everything from the USA through them. I believe they have an online shipping quote system on their web site. Or, just call them and get a quote.

I put bolt on sub frame connectors on my 81Z with t-tops and the difference was outstanding. Before I had so much flex that on the highway there was always this one pot hole that if I hit it the hood would pop open...not anymore after the connectors. No more squeeks or rattles going over railroad tracks anymore either....best $20 I have ever spent(I got em used). Like others have said they should really be on the list of the first mods you do to your car.

Got my Alston's welded in and I'm loving the difference!! The car feels MUCH tighter and no longer seems to pull to the right on hard 1-2 and 2-3 upshifts. Goodbye, chassis flex!! They also got rid of that annoying hatch squeak that used to drive me nuts. The fit was pretty good, I had to do a little trimming on the front mount plates to clear the 6-speed crossmember, but altogether I was impressed with the quality. HIGHLY recommended, and my thanks to Lon at TDS for the great GP price.
