Drag Shocks???

Hey i have KYB gr2 struts and KYB gas-a-just shocks and there great but im gettin tired of goin over every bump and feeling everysecond of it. I also have new front coil springs in and new rear coil springs also. I was woundering if i get a set of 70/30 drag struts and 50/50 drag shocks, will my ride be like too wavey, like goin up and down alot after hittin a bump or something?

also i have hooker super comp long tubes and i dont want to scrape the ground at all either, it doesnt do it now at all becuz of the new struts and shocks and coil springs. i just dont wantto like bottem out or anything with the drag shocks and struts.

also id like to look into the drag shocks and struts becuz i wanna lower my 60' times some also.

Any info is welcome, i wanna hear any views on this. thanx

well i use front 70/30 lakewood drag struts, and 50/50 drag shocks from lakewood also, and no front sway bar. my car still kinda handles ok, it also still works well in the rain, and they seem to do the job nicely. lifts the front end during a launch pretty well so i think they are worth it.

I think some softer springs will help more than the shocks/struts, as they are pretty tame compared to koni's or bilstein etc. Maybe old RS springs or any base model will be softer and make your ride more comfy.

Smaller sway bars maybe.

I have comp eng drag shocks in the back and they offered more damping than the worn out stock ones in my GTA.

I have Gr-2s in the front of my firebird and they comparable to stock IMO.

i highly doubt id be able to change coil springs again, considering the place i wokr at now is more busier then the other shop i was at, and well we used a jack stand to compress the old springs i had. i now have stock replacement z28 springs i got from perfect circle about 6 months ago, also i dont want to scrape my exuast thats the big thing.

also how will smaller sway bars do anything? i know they will be different in cornering and i dont want to put a smaller one on and kill cornering (stock z28 sway bar on car still)

I have the Lakewood 90/10 struts in combination with Moroso's trick front springs, in a street/strip application. The ride on the front is really soft because of the low rate springs, and did bottom out (headers) under long, hard braking situations (going over bumps isn't a problem, because the 90/10 struts have such hard compression dampening). The car doesn't seem to be very "wavy" (up and down) to me, but the front end sure does hike up when I mash the Go pedal! The front sway bar has been removed (reduces friction in the front suspension, and also removes weight from the front end - both help weight transfer), and I also have Global West's Del-A-Lum control arm bushings, so the control arms pivot freely. I welded extended tabs on the front K-member where the control arm bump stops hit, so the suspension would bottom out on these instead of my headers bottoming out on the ground.

sounds like fun, since i dont get on my car alot and when i do its only on side streets. but i think ill look into gettin the shocks and struts and since i have stock replacement springs it probably wont dip down at all or anything.

also did they improve ur 60' time also?
