14 mm bubble flare brake line
I am currently doing a rear end swap and a disk to drum conversion, and the problem i have is the proportioning valve that i got is made for bubble flares, that you cant find anywhere. I got all of the brake lines on it except for the one to the rear brakes, i cant find a 14 mm bubble flare for it anywhere, and my stock on is 82 style with traditional threads. anyone else have this problem? how did you over come it? thanks
you sure you need a 14mm? that'd be over a 1/2" usually brake lines are more like 3/16ths and 1/4. at any rate adapters aren't hard to find so you can go from bubble to double flare or you can buy a bubble tool and make your own lines

sorry, i was a little mad when i wrote that, i meant drum to disk, everywhere i went had them up to the size under that, and it was 14 mm, the guy i bought the proportioning valve off of is going to send me the one i need, his name is Joseph van Camp, and i highly recommend him for camaro/firebird parts

Pep Boys has pre-flared brake lines... but they don't know about them.
I have to walk in back (by myself and nobody stops me- ha!) by the tires, and the lines are hanging from a rack. What's funny is the ISO bubble flare lines are hanging from the "foreign/import cars" rack- even though GM has used them since 1984.
You can also buy an ISO bubble flaring tool, check out http://www.toolparadise.com . I tried to find one locally- to buy OR to rent, and was SOL- no store had even heard of it.

I got a question r those brakes lines needed on the rear to go into the earl hoses. I dont think i used them when i got new lines that r on it now going into the rubber hoses. I doesnt leak tho i think i might look at pep boys tho when i switch to the pbr's cause i want it done right.
