Anyone have B&G springs??

I've done searches but haven't found much on B&G springs. Does anyone have them? If so, I'm wondering how you like them and what rates they are. I'm also considering Guldstrand. I want road-race handling (no progressive rate springs).

Thanks in advance!

B&G, Gulstrand, Eibach and Suspension Spring Specialists all make various linear spring rates and sizes for our cars. I have Eibachs on the front and Suspension Spring Specialists springs on the rear. Expect to pay about $50-60 for each spring. I have 850/175 rates now however I think I'm probably going to up the rears to 225. See what the scales say first.

Thanks for the info. Where did you get your springs? (I'm still trying to figure out where to buy them.)

Also, I checked out your internet pics... very nice car. That's the ride height I want. Is that the Ground Control weight-jack system you have?

Bought my springs through Ground Control with their weight jack system. They're 9.5" free length front and back. The front jacks takes up about 2" in height and the rear jacks about the same. I also have drop spindles but even without you could bring the car down to the bumpstops easy front and back with the same springs. If you dont want jacks you'll have to speak to GC about proper sizing.

Are those drop spindles still produced? (I read on one thread that they're not.)

I really like that weight jack system.. I'll probably go that route. Thanks again, I appreciate your help.

Belltech isn't making the drop spindles for our cars anymore. Keep in mind if you drop your car as much as mine you'll at least need an adj. panhard bar and LCA relocation brackes. Adj LCA's and adj torque arm would be a wise decision also. Don't ya love how it just keeps adding up

Yeah, it seems if you want to go all out you have to replace almost everything.. oh well. Actually, I do have the LCA relocation brackets, adjustable LCAs and adjustable torque arm (all from Spohn) but none of it is installed yet. I have a Hotchkis panhard bar that's been in the car a few years... it's not adjustable so I'll have to either modify it (if possible) or get a new one.

Once I get the suspension all set up then it's back to engine stuff.

Spohn sells them for without jacks.

That's actually where I found them, but I hadn't heard of them until then, and I didn't find anything about them when I searched the boards. I talked to Bobby at Guldstrand on Friday -- he's really cool and definitely knows his stuff about springs. I'm going with their Slalom set. Now I'm gonna try to find out if Ground Control will sell their weight-jack system without the springs. I'm definitely getting their camber/caster plates.

I think he said the Slalom fronts are around 600# at stock height. After cutting for a drop of about 2" I should be in the neighborhood of 700#. Their rear springs are progressive and are about 200#. I can't wait til I get 'em!

Why dont you just buy sprigns that'll give you a 2" drop for 700lbs from Ground control if you want to buy their jacks anyway? You'll save on shipping, have springs that are just as good and not have to mess with cutting and with speculation of what your spring rates are after.

I was considering that, but I read some really good things about Guldstrand and I guess I had my mind set on their springs. I'll probably have to hold off on the weight jack setup after I get the camber/caster plates... I'll have to see how the budget looks.
