Any difference between GTA and IROC sway bars?
I wanted to put my old (140k mile) swaybar from my GTA on my IROC. Is it any bigger? Or did they come w/ the same size sway bars.

They should have came with the same sizes.. The IROC's IIRC got the same WS6 size sway bars (36 mm front / 24 mm rear)... The earlier ones _might_ have been smaller (85, 86?).. Some of the IROC's also came with the wonderbar (thats what I got mine off of at a junkyard, never seen a factory t/a with one)...

negitory.
the largest IROCs came with 34mm/23mm combo.
if your gta is a WS6 it should have the larger 36/24 bars. if it is non-ws6 they will be equal or smaller than the irocs, depending on the options of both cars. best bet it to measure the bars on each of them.

only ws6 and 1le cars got the 36/24 bars. i would say either you messured slightly wrong, or the car had the sway bars replaced.

Yes, the GTA is a '91 WS6 and the iroc is an '85. The GTA doesn't have a use for the front sway bar so it was sitting w/ no real use. I guess I'll throw it on the IROC.

Some Firebirds from 86-92 had the 36/24 combo, some Camaros from 89-92 had them (I found a set on a late-model RS once). My 85 IROC came stock with a solid 34/24 combo, which I've since upgraded.

You need to realize that your dealing with 10-20 year old cars... anything could have been changed on them and youd never know it. Camaros never got the 36/24 sway bars.
