it pretty easy to take off. its been a few months, but i think i just used a long extension and a universal joint. I think i also used a ratcheting wrench.

Taking it off is the easy part, but I think I lowered the steering column and used a REALLY long extension to get a socket back there. Putting the booster back in can be tricky. I know I've used a small jack inside the car to push the brackets back up in place. I think I remember someone else doing that also.

Yeah, what he said. Except it was a pain in the butt, because those poly lock nuts never loosen up, so you cant spin them off with your fingers.

Its been 1.5 years for me. I just used a wrench on mine. Yes it took a while, but its not all that hard. Pull the bottom of the dash off, and you can easly reach the nuts for it.

The nuts that hold the booster to the firewall are the same that hold the pedals too. You don't have to pull apart the pedal assembly, it will stay in the car and come out as one if needed. But I've never had to pull the pedals.

with a manual car you have to remove the brace that goes from the pedal assembly to the firewall on the drivers side and to do that you have to unbolt the bolt that the pedals pivot on. thats what i did today and got them off without too many problems after i figured out you have to tale that brace off.

Having a huge toolbox to pick from I had a good choice of tools to use.

Depending on what year your car is, the nuts that hold the booster on are probably metric. I used a 15mm swivel socket and a long extension when I took my booster off.
