Hi all, This is my first post. I've been lurking around the fourms for a couple months and I finely decided to sign up... Anyway, my question is this: I just bought a Spohn Aftermarket T-56 X member and was looking at the torque arms tonight and found that its a kit that comes with the X member. Does this mean I'll have 2 tranny X members?. I could'nt find the answer using the search but I did'nt look all that long

Yes you now have two transmission crossmembers, but you won't be using them both at the same time! The stock one is discarded. Just the same way your old torque arm is discarded.

Spohn Adjustable Torque Arm - Aftermarket T-56 Trans. Item: 322
$375.00 is for installing a Tremec aftermarket T-56 transmission into a Thirdgen. The kit includes the transmission crossmember required to install the Tremec T-56 transmission, along with their crossmember mounted adjustable torque arm.

The other part Spohn offer is Adjustable Torque Arm - T-56 (from 93-97) Trans. Item: 315 $375.00.

Spohn part T-56 Transmission Crossmember ('93-'97 T-56) Item: T56XM $110.00 is the Transmission crossmember for the installation of a 1993-1997 F-Body T-56 transmission into a Thirdgen. It is only for those who will re-install the OEM torque arm.

 

If you call/get in touch with Spohn, he may be able to sell you the torque arm x-member separate from the torque arm. That's entirely up to him though....or you can cancel the x-member and just order the torque arm setup.
