which would be better...

for all around street use, since i dont do much auto x (prolly never will) and very little drag racing...

18 X 9.5 rims or 17 X11, the 18's are actually cheaper...

the 18's are zo6 style rims the 17's are zr1 style, both chrome.

i know with the bigger rim i could fit p315 tires no problem, but i see no reason why id ever have a need to go over 295 or whatever the limit is on a 9.5inch rim.

should i go with the 18's since i like big shiny rims or would the extra 2 inches be more valuable?

thanks in advance, im just planning for my next car which i will be hopefully getting by february, i still cant decide if i like either style better, i like them both, so i guess it comes down to what i can get the cheapest. If anyone was wondering i am going by the buy it now prices on ebay, i dont have any special hook up sorry

The answer to that really depends on what YOU want. Since you say that you don't really race and you are going to be spending most of your time on the street, then I would sway towards the wheels that would allow for cheaper tires. Look around for tire prices to answer that. Good luck...

remeber, 11" wheels are not going to be a perfect fit, you are going to have to roll the fender lip, and 17x11 will not fit out front.

running on 18's can be a mixed bag, it depends on your suspension setup for the street. 18's and a tight suspension tends to not be very forgiving.

i was planning on using the lowering kit from thunder racing so maybe 17 X 9.5 all around would be better. tires are a good amount cheaper too. thanks guys

17 x 9.5s with 275/40s all around will look and work very well, good choice...
