is it all stock? how many miles?
noisey usually deals with, shocks, struts, possibly springs and somewhat for tires.
does the noise seem to be coming from the interior? or under the body?
Subframe connectors will keep body flex down which should lessen overall noise made from interior parts moving and other things..

Thanks for the input. It's not all stock, 350, high performance cam, headers to name a few. New but cheap shock in the back. Will do the struts and a panhard bar next. Body has 130000 miles on it. Noise seems to come from the windows(in the form of a window rattle) and the rear hatch which I just put in a new pull down. I have a new door hinge on the way. Think I should go with new springs AND struts.? Please let me know what you think. I'll try yo get a picture up.

I have Kumho ecstas. They are ok noise comes when I hit bumps. Is it the fact that IROC's have tight suspension?

I'll second the subframe connector advice ,killed alot of creaking and rattles I had in my car. This winter I'm gonna replace all the front suspension with moog pieces and do the springs(moog) and shocks and struts(kyb)that might help also. You might want to think about new weather stripping and maybe consider using some sound deadening stuff in your doors(dynamat) .

If noise is coming from the doors, you might check the following thread:

Subfames, maybe new door weatherstripping, and the door hinge kit from AndyZ28. Irocs will ride stiff so some of it you'll have to live with.

Rear Hatch
All good ideas. What about the rear hatch? Just put in a new motor but it seems the hatch still sit's a bit too high and seems to be a source of some of the noise as the hatch bumps a bit on rough pavement.

May I suggest a really load exhaust system to drown out the other noises? I have edelbrock headers, no cats,3" mandrel bent Flowmaster system( cant remeber what series muffler,50 I think), and the carpet and insulation out of the back hatch area( due to an gallon jug of paint spilling in the back) and I cant hear a damn thing but the pipes! Or maybe a loud stereo?

Before you go spending tones of money are SFC's, tires, shocks; consider this. I have a 87 T/A with almost hundred thousand miles on it. I took much of the plastic pieces off the car and put foam stripping (from the local fabric shop) on the edges and put the panels (all interior) and such back on. It didn't take long at all and it worked extermely well. When I go over rough pavement, the annoying sounds stop. Maybe you should try it.
