Will relocation brackets cause tire rub?

I just put my summer wheels back on and they rub when I go through a big dip in the road. I never noticed this before I put the relo brackets and boxed control arms on. Has anyone else ran into this?

No they will not. They are out of the way of your tire and will not raise or lower the car in anyway.

Those relocation brackets drop it down a lot don't they?

I'm guessing it doesn't hurt ground clearance unless you would go over a wierd bump that your tires don't hit?

I need a set of those since I am lowering my car.

Are those welded in or bolted in?

They drop the angle of the LCA but do not change ride height. The ones in my pick are Spohn weld in.

I know they don't change the ride height any.

I'm just saying that they look like they could catch if you went over a bump that your tires didn't ride over.

Well my brackets will scrape on certian bumps and assent angles buts thats it. They should not cause any tire rub at all (meaning fneder, LCA's, brackets, sway bar etc etc). If they do you have much bigger problems.

EDIT: I re-read your post and you are right. They will hit on wierd bumps that your tires don't hit but that your suspension will. Sorry bout that.

it's not tire rub like I thought, my suspension is bottoming out. I think i need new rubber snubbers or something.

if you're hitting any wierd bumps like that when stock, you would have ripped your shock mount off by now anyway.

There's nothing scraping on the ground, it must be the suspension bottoming against the frame. I didn't have this problem before the relocation brackets and the boxed lca's. I'll have to put it on the lift and figure out exactly where it's hitting. I'm just glad its not the tires rubbing, fenderwell mods take too long! ;-)

**I think the rubber anti-bottom things are gone, you can see them in the pic above. They attach with two bolts to the left of the springs in that pic.

I bet it is the brackets. Look how close mine are to the ground. I scrape them on all kinds of stuff.

I just ordered some spohn ones. Gonna have to installed to my rear-end that I'm building. I'm hoping with relocation brackets, tubular lcas and a panhard rod I can get some decent traction.
