How did you take out your old rubber bushings?
I just replaced my rubber bushings in my panhard bar and I had a rough time getting the old ones out. I had to hammer them and drill them out. I was wondering if someone has found and easier way to remove them. Thanks

3 ways i know of:
1 use a shop press....
2 drill a bunch of holes thru it, then smack it out with a hammer.
3 dip it in kerosene, light it, and burn the rubber part off.. (yes ive seen someone do this, yes it works, no im not reccomending it.)
my fav method is to become best pals with someone that has a shop. i highly reccomend it.

You are going to find that it is easiest to do with a press. To save cost I would drill out the old ones and then take the pieces to a shop to have them pressed. It may just be easier to buy a new panhard rod.

That's funny how you guys did the same thing I did and I never even told you. I tried a lot of things (no I didn't try to burn them, well not on purpose anyway) and it seemed that drilling a bunch or holes in it would relieve some of the pressure that was keeping the rubber pressed in there. I finally got them out, but it took me forever. I put some new energy suspension pieces in there and I just greased them up and everything slid right in.

a faster way that just occured to me (and i havent tried this yet)
use a hole saw.... just center it over the bushing and cut the center right out......
then push the edges out and its done.
