My car sits too high after T-5 swap???
I noticed that my IROC is about 2 inches higher , now with the T-5, than my 89 RS ,which seem too low, now that it has a 700R4 in it. My IROC has 212,000 miles on it now so it may be they are just worn too. Has anyone noticed their car sits too high after going to a T-5 and a fiberglass hood and some front weight reduction with the stock springs?

when you change weight you change the spring rate....taking weight off the springs will stiffen them up and yea it will sit higher......so taking away a bunch of weight it would make sense

If anything I think the car was lowered back to the ground from being on jackstands and wasn't driven around any. That way the front tires want to be closer to the center of the car.... and they wont let the car settle all the way. Just move the car around and it will go back to normal. But even then, 2 inches is a huge stretch!

Whenever I lift my car with the jack or a lift it always seems to sit higher when I put it back down. After a little while it goes back to normal though.

Same thing happened to me
I swapped to a T-5, and all my suspension was stock. It looked stupid high. I hastely pulled some V6 springs from the boneyard, cut 3/4 of a coil off and managed to drop it about 2" below stock. Didn't mean to go that low, but it looks so good I don't plan to change it anytime soon. You may want to go with the V6 springs and skip cutting them.
I didn't notice any loss in handling.

I don't have any pics, but it is not THAT high. I meant to say it sits 2 inches higher than my 89 RS. My 89RS got way lower when i did the 700R4 swap into it may be almost 1 inch. I drove the car around for a while and it did lower back closer to normal. The back did not change any and the front sits exactly the same height off the ground as the front.
In a related topic, my 89 RS is now dropped a good 1.5 inches from getting an automatic and some 25.5 inch tires. It sits nice and low but scrapes even if you just hit a little riff in the interstate, ouch! It looks awesome though.
