1990 IROC missing wonderbar??

Underneath the wife's 90 IROC a few days ago I noticed that it is missing the wonderbar. It doesn't look like one was ever installed (ie, not scratches from removal, no outlines of where it used to be).

Why would a 1990 IROC (build Nov 89) not have a wonderbar?

Nope, its the real deal. 1990 only offered an RS and IROC-Z model and this is defiantely an IROC-Z (RPO code shows Z28 & B9, Vin# denotes TPI 305 and all the badging is consistant. This would have been a VERY expensive clone to create.

Just no wonder bar

It doesn't really "leave marks", because it goes under the sway bar bushing brackets.

But, if it doesn't have one, maybe you're just one of those lucky guys that got a Monday morning car or something.

I would call that "unlucky".

Does the 1990 have 15" wheels stock, instead of the optional 16"? Some Iroc-z's with 15" stock wheels from 88-90 didn't get the wonder bar.

Yup, it came originally with 15" wheels.

There is your answer. 15" wheels = no wonder bar.
