C5 Brake parts
This in response to a few PMs I have gotten about C5 brake parts. Here's a list of all the GM PN I used to piece my fronts together. This is only FRONT BRAKES:
88895128 caliper $85
88895129 caliper $85
12455799x2 abutment $26
12530704x4 boot kit $3
12530697x4 slide pin $3.35
11518571x2 banjo bolt $2
14067559x4 caliper to abutment bolt $.82
I bought all parts from www.gmpartsdirect.com When I purchased these were the prices. Maybe boneyards and/or vette classified boards will have cheaper used, that's your perogative, I wanted new.
Heres the link for the guy who I bought the brackets from:
http://82lt1.cz28.com/brakes
I hope this info is helpful to any who want to go with the C5 front brakes. BTW, I have pics posted, search my user name and you should find them.

Did you also buy the brake pad anti squeak clips and tabs that go into the carrier and the center hole in the caliper? If so, what's the part numbers on those?

The anti squeak clips came with the pads. I bought the pads from Chevrolet. I wanted to start with "vette" pads. Later, I will see how the aftermarket pads work and will play with new rotors as well when time and testing allows.

try www.rockauto.com , they usually have pretty reasonable prices, quick shipping, and good customer service

Usually GM includes the antirattle clips only with their pads but aftermarket does not. Got just the clips from Autozone under the brand Brakeware for my LS1 rears. I would assume they also carry them for the C5 fronts.

I get a lot of my parts from AZ but I didn't see any caliper hardware kits for Corvette yet, website says not available yet. Guess I'll look for them on my next parts run. Right, aftermarket pads don't come with them. You can use the LS1 front caliper hardware kit for the C5s but the center anti rattle clip is different for the C5 caliper...it's longer.
Thanks guys...

Just got off the phone with AZ and they don't stock any front caliper hardware kits for Vettes yet, so I guess it's a GM only part for the time being unless you go with the Vette pads. The rear caliper hardware kits would be the same as the LS1 rears.
