alignment: factory specs, or these...?

just got new tires (and rotors, and pads, and poly end links) and my alignment is ready for some refreshment! the shop i got the tires at would only set it to factory alignment specs, but i got some specs off this site that were recommended....

these are the ones i got off this site:

camber: L: -0.5 R: -0.5
caster: L: 3.50 R: 4.00 (or R as high as poss., L .5 less)
toe: L: 0.03 R: 0.03

my question: does anyone know the stock specs? i want to know how close they are to the ones above....and which i should get????

thanks

I have tried a few combos and like the toe to be right on 0.0 with .5 neg camber and about 4.7 caster and it works good. Not sure what the factory specs are anymore lol

Those specs look good; except that the right camber needs to be a tweek higher than the left, like the caster; something like L -.5 degrees, R -1 degree.

Usually a little toe-in will help the tires stand up a little straighter when driving straight down the road; and will make the car feel like it has a more definite center. Just a little though: too much will make it scrub off outside edges.

Yeah I have a .3 difference on caster but I run camber the same. I have tried running camber variations all the way down to 2 full degrees negative and find the .5 to be a happy compromise to tire wear vs handling. I have had as much as .8 difference left to right but it still hunts a little in wavy roads regardless and I like the braking effect to be true so I equalized them and on hard stops I can let go of the wheel and it tracks straight.

Yeah toe in a tad will help "ease" the driving but it also adds a little resistance and tire heat so I run it at zero. It works for me but I seldom drive the car unless I am roasting it so I don't much mind the little extra effort

I have the factory specs around here somewhere, I just got my tires aligned with them last week. I had a coupon for $39.99 at Suburban Tire which is the only reason I went there. I gave them custom alignment specs, but they wouldn't honor the coupon if I wanted to use my own specs, and I wasn't going to pay them $95 to use my specs when I could save over $50 by going factory. It's kind of bull**** that they would pull that though because its no different to them whether they use my specs or factory specs, its going to take the same time/work effort on their part either way. I should've threatened to leave and go to Just Tires...maybe then they would have given in :-/
