1LE Brake Bracket Dimensions

I was just wondering if anyone knew the dimensions for the brackets that go between the carrier and the spindle(hole locations, offset, hole size, and thickness). I have access to an abrasive water jet and would like to cut my own. Any help would be appreciated.

I would also like that info.....been trying to find it for some time now. I can CNC them at work if I only had the part dimensions.
Anyone?

Have you tried a search. This was a real popular topic maybe a year ago and there is a great deal of info. In particular, look for posts by ebmiller.

While the brackets are no longer available from a dealer, AFAIK those brackets are available from a variety of sources including Spohn.

Good luck.

You can make a set yourself but unless you have a really big bandsaw, a good drill press, and the steel, you'd be better off buying them from Steve. I don't know the dimentions of the bracket but can make one, but it would need to be 1/2" thick and that stuff's hard to cut unless you have a CNC to do it for you.

I have can use the abrasive water jet at my school to cut them out all I would need is the dimentions, and the draw it in autocad and save it as a DFX file for the waterjet to be able to read it, the water jet is capable of cutting mild steel up to eight inches thick.

I don't like being the one to rain on your parade, but this very subject has come up before. I don't recall if anyone ever came up with the dimensions (I don't recall that anybody ever did) but try a search. IIRC the idea of making your own brackets never got off the ground because they are available from other sources. Good luck.

I was just wondering if anyone had the dimensions, not a big deal, I have the caliper carriers( much to hard to fab myself) purchased from sphon and I have spindles and disks. The only brackets I dont have are plates that go between the capiler carrier and the spindle, I will mock up the set up myself and figure out the dimensions thank you to all that replied, I was just trying to save a little work on my part.

I totally understand. If I had a set of the brackets off the car I'd send you one to play with but I don't. Please post what you find out..
