Some questions on LCA reloc brackets..
#1, do they make bolt-on ones that I can then have welded? I want to be able to bolt them on and optionally have them welded (more than likely would. It'd just be easier if I could bolt them on at first, and I may be upgrading to a 4th gen rear)
#2, Will they fit the same on a 4th gen rear as on a 3rd gen?
The plan right now is to use the stock LCAs until next paycheck. I think this paycheck is gonna go towards chip-burning stuff and maybe the brackets if they make bolt-on ones. Otherwise I'm gonna start saving up for a 4th gen rear.

BMR makes bolt on ones. I don't see why you couldn't weld them later. Spohn's bolt on then get welded. I'm not sure if either will work on a 4th gen. But I don't see why they wouldn't.

Cool, good to know. Thanks a lot
Should I notice quite a bit of a difference? As it is now, I can't put much more power to the ground than 1300-1500RPM or so from a dead stop. I mean I'll be using the stock LCAs for a while, so I know it won't be as good as it could be, but these brackets should at least show me a noticeable improvement, no?

Cool. I'll go look into prices and maybe put my chip-burning stuff off for two more weeks
then again, I would like to at least have an idea of how to burn chips by the time my LT1 intake/cam arrives..

On Spohn's site, they show them as having a bunch of bolts in the picture but in the description say...
"Must be welded into place. Hardware is included. Since the brackets must be welded in place, we ship them bare. Weld in LCA Relocation Brackets are the only SAFE and EFFECTIVE way to install them."
Where can I find BMR products?

i know guys running consistant 1.6 60's with occasional 1.5s on good days... still have the stock LCAs.. they dont really hold ya back, sure, they flex in every direction... except the one that counts.

I think I'll stick to Spohn because of the name, and they're cheaper than BMR
I might just get the brackets and bolt them in for now. Like you said, they shouldn't flex much in the direction to cause wheelspin too much, so they shouldn't be *too* bad. I'll try the brackets first (they are cheaper too! lol)..

spohns HAVE to be welded on.
they're just a "cup" that goes over the existing mount... the bolt locates it, but it has to be welded so it doesnt piviot.
the BMRs only bolt on because they also connect to the shock mount.. the shock mount keeps it from rotating.

Bah, the bolt-ins are as expensive as new LCAs. Maybe I'll just save up for a 4th gen rear first.
