disc to drum?

I currently have a non posi setup and found a posi rear end with 3.73 with the non PBR brakes. I have drum brakes right now, is there anyway i can just take the disc brakes off the new rear and put the drums on and not have to do any prop chanes or ebrake line changes?

Why not use the entire rear end? It'll give you posi, it'll give you 3.73 gears, and it'll give you disc brakes..

I'm just weighing my options because my drum brakes are really new and i dont want to get rid of em yet. What would i have to do to put the drums on the new rear end? Would i have to change any prop valve or ebrake lines or anything??

dude what are you thinking! swap out your old rear and put the new rear in and use the disc brakes on the new rear. I just swaped out my old non-posi, drum brake rear for a posi, disc rear and rear disc brakes are soooo much better than rear drum brakes, trust me, you'll want the disc brakes, plus any money you would spend to swap your drums onto the new rear could be put toward the new componets for the disc brakes

iirc, 98-02 rear brakes are a bolt on for disc brake cars if you dislike the non pbr disc that much...

I swaped to a 9 bolt 3.45, with disc and never changed the prop valve. And it works great, just my brake hose in the rear right is bad, changing tommarrow.
