Need help fast
Okay guys, I installed a strut tower brace on my car and when doing so me or my friend unbolted the black cover on top of the driver side strut. I didn't realize it was unbolted so I drove and it popped off and to the side, now I can't get it to move to where it should be to bolt it back down. I tried jacking the car off the ground to get the pressure off of it but it still won't budge. Do I need to take the wheel off to fix this? If so I have a problem because there is one of those anti theft lug nuts on the wheel and I have no key for it. I really need to get this fixed ASAP.

Put a floor jack under the control arm, right underneath the spring pocket; that will lift the whole suspension up and take the force off of what you're trying to work on.
Jacking up the car and letting the suspension hang won't do it, it will all still be under spring tension.
