spring choices
im trying to decide which springs to go with. i want springs that will help with cornering and launching. i also want it to look good and possibly get the car lower so it looks a little better (its a berlinetta, no ground fx so it looks really high off the ground. im also planning on slicks. here's my options:
1)eibach drag/launch kit, drop spindles (2" lower in front .5" higher in rear)
2)eibach sport line springs (1.7-2.3" drop)
3)eibach pro kit (1.0-1.5" drop)
4)other suggestions (get the best deal on eibach)
im also wondering which shocks/struts go best with each option (kyb agx adjustable, kyb gr2, edelbrock, competition engineering adjustable drag shocks
im also planning on putting in a front strut tower brace and larger rear addco sway bar

Well...when you drop your car it'll handle a little better. Though when you drop your car your launch isn't going to be as good. Personally I think drop spindles suck unless your just going for looks. I used to have a pair of belltechs in my car and didn't like them. Brandwise I wouldn't go with any other brand then Eibach. If you want performance with slight looks get the pro kit. If you want more looks and a little less performance get the sport line. Though witht he sport line your launch wont be as good. I've tried AGX's and they seem to be an okay setup. I have some Koni yellows on my car now and I really enjoy them. Though they do have a price tag of $650 or so...It's hard to say what setup you should use cause I dont know really what you want more. Do you want more drag or more handling?

i am more interested in drag than handling since i wont be doing any autocrossing because of the 4" cowl. i kinda want to lower it so it looks a little better since it has no ground fx which is why i was thinking about putting drop spindles if i went with the drag kit. i have heard that the drag/launch kit also improves handling. is this true?

Mia - Yea thats me on powerslideways.com...anyways yea hotchins is also a good brand to use. Although I have never used them myself I have heard good things about them. If your doing more daily driving then it should be a good set of springs for you.
pwmin - If your more going to be doing straight line performance then the drag radials will be fine. I noticed that for turning though they screw up the steering geometry. But for show/drag it'll be fine and your ride comfort will remain. As for improving handling with a drag kit? hmmm...I'm not to sure about that...though it may be possible cause I think the rear springs might have air bags in them. If they do then that'll make them pretty stiff which woudl improve handling.

any time you stiffen up the suspension it should handle better. i put new heavy duty oem springs in a while ago which were stiffer and they helped alot with the handling even though it didn't lower the vehicle. from experience, i believe they should handle better and i believe that eibach even says that they will help with handling.
so if i put on the sportline kit will drag shocks, strut tower brace, and sway bar and subframe connectors compensate for the loss in drag performance due to the lowering springs?

Pwmin,
For drag launch an helping weight transfer front to rear- you want a very soft and long travel spring. Ex. a stock length V6 spring onto a V8 car. This will compress and sit the car slightly lower and inch or so ore, but will unload and extend the nose much higher than a stiffer (yet shorter too equal the same stagnant height) spring.
You also want VERY little rebound force on the front Struts to allow this extention to lift the nosewithout resistence.
Both of these characteristics for better launch will ruin your cornering performance. You can not have it both ways.

those lying bastards! so, agx shocks/struts it is. how should they be adjusted for launching versus cornering? will they help mediate for better handling with the drag/launch springs?
