Pulling wheels
Pulling wheels
What set up do I need to pull the wheels off the ground. power is there.just need to yank the fronts up for a few.
I know a good 60' is needed and adjustable shocks, weight distribution, but is there any secrets as to getting some air under the fronts or just the usual.
Please reply if you have pulled the wheels in your third gen.
BTW I am running around 450rwhp and 550ft# of torque.

first off, get as much weight off the front as you can. aluminum heads, glass hood, skinnies, a/c and other unecessary crap. then get some 90/10 struts and shocks, moroso trick springs up front, v6 springs in the back, and some sticky tires
Im sorry, I dont want to gut it for the wheel stand. This car is a driver....A/C,radio,power everything, fully loaded ta.
I need more clean ways to do this.
I was thinking air bags in rear adjustable 90/10 front struts relocated battery and T-brake. I have the slicks and lightened front up( removed sway bar).
Best 60' I got was 1.70 and I know it has a lot more in it.
Im looking for 1.60-1.55 short times.
TIA

You have a lot of power but without crazy steps you are not going to be lifting the front off of the ground. You could but then your car would be unsafe to drive on the street. Most normally equipt 3rd and 4th gens will pull the wheels off the ground a few inches once they past the 650rwhp mark.
So, 11.40's with a 1.60 ft time wont get me there? theres gotta be something I can do. I think im going to try UCA 's and LCA's with 70/30 struts w/ t brake and transfering 50# from the front to the rear.

How well does your car hook now? Are you spinning out of the hole quite a bit? I know 12 second f-bodies that yank the tires almost a foot off the ground, and I also know 9-10 second f-bodies that never come close.
UCA's? we don't have them.

My 84 Z28 ran 11.80's and pulled the ds wheel 6'' or so everytime on a 1.6x 60'....That car had adjustable ladder bar set up 70/30 struts , skinnies, air bags, ford 9'' w/4.33 gears. A lot of that I dont want to do to this car.... see what I mean? UCA's...... shows how much I know about this suspension stuff.hehe
Just thought there might be a better route....

i raise the driver side wheel with a steel hood and cast heads. i dont have the cash for a fiberglass hood yet. everything else with no importance is gone though. inner fenders, and inner bumpers, a/c, battery relocated to rear, smog pump, and lots of wiring eliminated. im also doing it with a 3.08 gear, comp engineering sfcs and m/t et drags. otherwise, stock suspension.
