Need help/opinions on how low I should lower. Pics inside....

Well, I have a set of Hooker Super Competition Long tubes connected to my small block that I paid $700 for(they have the jet Hot 2000 coating). I want to lower the car for several reasons, looks, handling purposes, and ride quality. I DO NOT, however, want to beat the $h!t out of my headers. I took a few pics showing the current ground clearance that I have from under the car. Please take a look and tell me what you think. I wanted to run the Eibach Sportlines, but I'm not sure that I can run them due to the fact of how low they let the car sit to the ground. I'm thinking that the Pro kit may be my only option. See for yourself...

them hang down quite a bit. Mine sits 1.75 lower then stock, and I occasionally drag the spohn tranny cross member, and the dump under the pass. seat.

If any, I'd say no more then 1. And becareful driving.

Man I'm in the exact same boat.

I want the stance of sportlines but i know I'm gonna drag bad on driveways and worse on speedbumps.
Also i heard Sportlines ride like a haywagon.

I was wondering about the option of running the Prokit and cutting some of the coil.

Or running prokit in the front and Sports in the back...The pics ive seen of some prokits in the back are WAY to high !

Maybe look into Spohn's coilovers. When they come out and more people get them and use them I will most likely look into a set. I have the same headers and I would hate to have to scrape them with regular lowering springs. Right now the front end looks like a truck with all the weight loss I did. The lowest I would consider would be the Pro-Kit. If you do a search people have used the Sportlines with LTs and scrapped badly. I believe that info might be found in the Hooker LT thread in the exhaust board. I would like to see someone with these headers buy a set of the coilovers and take some pictures. Not likely to happen anytime soon though I am sure!

I wish mine was that high. The ends of my collectors are 2-3" off the ground.

I'd say 1 inch and be sure to run higher spring rates than stock, and be sure your dampeners are in good condition. Sloppy rates or worn dampeners could cause it to bottom out, which will be bad news for the exhaust. I didnt go with longtubes on my car because I wanted to slam the car, had to sacrafice.
