There *IS* an Engine Swap board which typically talks about swapping engines and what is needed to support the swap.
KYB shocks/struts are decent. Not the greatest, but they are better than stock stuff.

Input on what? You didn't have a question besides the KYB shock/strut combo. Yes, people use V6 springs in V8 cars. Usually for the rear springs, but I suppose they'd work in the front as well. Don't expect any good handling out of that combo.

V6 springs won't handle well with the weight of a V8 up front. Just pick up a set of aftermarket springs. If you don't want to lower it at all, buy the Moog replacement springs. Swaybars..try and go with at least a 32/22 combo. Bigger the bar, the better. KYB shocks/struts are decent if you're on a budget. If you can spend more, I've heard very good things about the Tokico HP shock/strut combo and that goes for around $250-280ish. That and subframe connectors would be good to have.

If it's just street use, V6 springs would probably be fine based on what's posted on this forum. Won't take the corners as well as typical V8 springs, though. The KYB GR2 shocks you're looking at should also be good.
If it's drag use, V6 springs are *excellent* as their greater free height and lower lb/in rate will help the weight transfer on launch. You'd want softer shocks than the KYBs though, consider plain wimpy hydraulic ones out back and something with *lots* of rebound up front to get that nose up fast on launch.
If it's road course duty, or you want great handling on the street, I'd steer clear of the V6 springs. IROC spring and swaybar package is an excellent cook-book setup at all four corners, or for a slightly softer ride the WS6 pieces are also great. Some people haven't gotten great longevity out of KYB GR2 shocks under road course racing conditions, but they're cheap. Koni or Bilstein shocks & struts are the standard for these conditions.
If you really want to go crazy, search on Moog or Hypercoil for lots of spring variables to play with.
