LCA Relocation question

Im in the middle of my chasis rebuild and I bought a Set of Spohn rear lca relocation brackets and Im wondering which mounting holle that I should put the control arm into. I drive the car alot and manily use it for street but I do take it to the track about once a month or so for some fun. I am thinking about the lower hole to give it a more extreme angle to prevent wheel hop but I didnt know if that would knock any other rear suspension angles out and cause me any future problems.

Keep the back mount of the LCA as high as possible without having wheelhop. If wheelhop presentes itself, then lower the mount position to the next hole down and try again.

This will keep the height of your instant center (IC) lower with the angle inverted downward forwad of just level. It helps with weight transfer over and back ontop of the IC loading the rear tires.

The more upward the angle of the LCA's from rear to front will produce roll oversteer in corners which is very bad, and it raises the IC and causes the nose weight of the car to have to lift up higher and pivot up over the IC and back down on the rear wheels. You will need very good slicks with very good traction to take advantage of such heavy front to rear raising and transfering of weight.

That sounds pretty logical, The three setting on the relocation brackets are stock, halfway down the bracket and then more towards the end of it, so Ill start out with the middle one since I already have wheel hop and then I can minimize possable handling issues even though I dont ever take it to the limits of the stock suspension. Maybe I can get some replies from people that also have these on their cars and cam tell me what theyhave thiers set at and thier experiences with them.

umm 3 holes? i think one of those are for your bolt that came with it to help keep the reloc bracket from flaring out. only 2 holes for the lca placement. if i remember correct the middle hole set back further than the other is for the bolt and sleeve to hold it all together and prevent that opening affect.

nope top hole is for bolt and sleeve as in pic

Ah HA ! So thats how its done. Why did i get this brass screw and nut with the kit . I'm assuming to mount the control arm. but theres no washer with it...whatever.

So how much should it cost if i take these brackets to a suspension shop and say weld them in and bolt the LCA to the middle hole?

its not a brass bolt, it is a grade 8 zinc coated bolt with a nyloc nut. Reason for it cause the stock one isn't long enough

Shouldn't be more than an hours labor.
