Sub-Frame Connectors

Do you guys recommend the bolt on, or weld on subframe connectors?

I recommend weld-on SFC's.

The bolt-on varieties will eventually elongate the bolt holes where they are attached.

Weld on, and welded not only to the front and rear locations but also along the rocker panel seams.

With South Side Machine SFCs they're close enough to the rockers that they can be welded this way, and it really tightens the car up.

Go ahead and buy the bolt on SFC's and then expect some new rattles. Welded is the only way to go.

The general concencus(as i see it) is that Spohn subframe connectors are the best buy.

Dont forget bolt in's can be welded after you bolt them up in the car, heck I dont think i'd even try to get the bolts into a set of alstons, but they weld in great.

Do you guys treat the welds for rust, or paint them or something?

I did both. Bolted them in at home, then drove to the muffler shop and had them weld em up for me....

Have the car professionally straightened at a frame or body shop, then get SFCs welded on.
