question after installing pro-kit
I just installed the pro-kit eibachs and i love the ride but I noticed that the front is higher than i wish. I refuse to cut the springs because I did that with the last springs I had and that was a mess.. I talked to a few people who lowered their cars and one of my buddies said that eibach made a strut kit that lowered the front end a lil more but I was wondering if anyone else has heard of this(or if he was just full of ****). If all else fails I was thinking of putting the sport lines in front with the pro kit in the back because i cant go any lower in the back with the wide tires, I already have the tires rubbing some when i hit bad bumps. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks!

not really sure on that one, i considered a lot of options for lowering because i plan on doing so some time and i've never heard of the front being higher than the rear on the pro-kit. try contacting eibach about it and make sure your springs are installed correctly. this doesnt really apply to the front being higher than the rear, but the pro kit is more of a performance option than a lowering kit. sportliens in the front might be a good idea, but might also give you that raked look. how much higher is the front than the rear? pics?

maybe your rear doesn't have the spring insulators?
Or you can just cut a tad off the eibach prokit, it's not that hard and it's a good spring to do it with (or you can hand more money to eibach) Removing and installing them is easy once you do it once

make sure the front springs are seatied inside of the "cup". Sometimes, when the spring is installed, people accidently install them on the cup...and the spring isn't set inside of it....which would cause it to be raised in the front. On my old 84 Z28, I had a shop install the sportlines..and the front set up like 3 inches higher. I took it back...and they installed the springs wrong. Also, I called Eibach, and they said the springs shouldn't have to settle at all. If the springs are installed correctly...then the drop should be instant.

I cut 1/2 coil off my pro kit.I tried the following 3 things and it still sat noticeably higher in the front. I installed brand new Billsteins at the same time. Some things to consider though.
1) as stated, springs should be seated in the upper "cup" and if they're installed upside down it'll sit high too. You should be able to read the part # on the spring when they're installed.
2) Make sure they're indexed properly. The end of the bottom coil should sit in the "notch" on the lower A-Arm. Kinda hard to put into words, but you'll get it if you look at the lower spring seat.
3) Make sure you tighten the sway bar end links with weight on the suspension. Otherwise they'll cause binding and stop the car from settling.

those fronts look like my rear....still cant get my rear prokit to come down at all, and it has more than an excessive rake to it

Like when I swapped from my taller winter tires to my 245/45R17 summer tires, my front fender gap was instantly more noticeable, and I hate it still because I only have rear lowering springs in so far. I've been too lazy/busy to install the front ones.
