Competiton Engineering ''Weld-In'' subframe connectors
Hey guys, I'm shopping around for subframe connectors for my 89 firebird. I know I want to get weld in ones. I was looking at the Competiton Engineering ''Weld-In'' sfc's and in the discripition its says something about " modification to floor pan is required" What modifications are needed? Is it just a simple bump that has to be cut or pounded out, or am I going to spend hours cutting and welding my floor?
Also if these sfc's are no good, which ones would you recommend?
Any help would be great!!

Check out Spohn's. His products are top notch. Also check out the rest of the sponsors listed at the top of all thirdgen.org webpages. You can find almost anything you need (thirdgen related) from them.

In order to make the CE ones work you need to cut about a 1'x1" strip for them to tuck into the floor pans on both sides. Personally I would not go this route. Definitely look around. There are many sets out there that require no modification to the car other than welding.

I have the weld in CE's and they required no modification at all. They tucked up nicely into the chassis. I looked around and found these square tubing ones to the beefiest out there.
