My steering wheel is getting looser and looser. There is 2 inchs of play up and down and an inch side to side. I dont know where to start. I looked under the dash and saw the four bolts supporting the shaft to a medal bracket bolted to the dash by another to bolts. But it seems the part where its falling apart is more towards teh steering wheel. There is that damn round plastic guard in the way and i have no clue how to get it out the way. Do i need to pull the steering wheel?

Any advice is appreciated....
