hey guys. i have an '89 tta. today i had the car jacked up and noticed the rear sway bar was not connected at either end. it appears the bolts have rusted and snapped in 1/2. the driver side is missing, the passenger side is just broke. i have a manual but it does not list part number for the bolt, nuts, washers, and bushings. anyone know where i can get these parts to fix this? below are pics so you know what i'm talking about...

They are called sway bar end links. I sell GM 1LE end links that I bead blast and have zinc plated (so they don't corrode so easily).



You need two per sway bar.

The ES endlinks are slightly longer than stock. 2 5/8 vs. 2 1/2.

If you do not want Lon's improved zinc-plated 1LE endlinks, the GM part number is 10221779.

 

local pep boys had them for $17... that extra 1/8" isn't going to hurt anything is it?

 

check the local parts stores, they will useually list a replacement and an HD replacment, which usually has poly bushings... the last time I got some HD ones they were like $6.xx

 

My local Advance Auto stocks HD's as TRW 18203HD at $5.68 each.

 

yea, same ones that I was saying were $6 but at the time I bought them I think they were still Trak Auto...
