1 final question about my wheel choice.
Hey guys, I think this is about the 300th post ive made about wheels but now that im ready to order this should be my final. Next time I post about wheels it will be with them actually on the car. Tonight I will be emailing(or calling tomorrow) sportruck.com to get a final price and make sure all my info is correct before I send my order next week.
After a year of searching I finally figured out what I wanted........it ended up being the first wheel I thought about getting last year when I started looking.
Info:
Boyd Blaster 5 wheels with a soft lip instead of the stepped lip.
Front:
18x8 w/4.75bs 245/35/18
Back:
18x9.5 w/5.5bs 285/35/18
So does it sound like a good combo(and correct combo)?
Tires im still thinking about.....ill have 2 month to wait anyway.

This is the car I based my wheel sizes off of. The front I think I would want to be out more.......does 4.75 sound like a noticeable difference?

Nice car!! *hehe* Yeah the 4.75 should push them out further than mine (18x8 w/ 4.5). When I was choosing my specs I went kind of mild on the widths and backspacings because I didnt know how much clearance I would have with the suspension setup I wanted (those are older pics with the higher stance). I also didnt know how much my front brakes I have planned would push the offset out. So I went with the equivalent of stock front width/backspacing specs. At the time Powermite was the only guy with 18's and I was experimenting. I ordered my set with the intent of running spacers/adapters in the front after all was said in done to even the offset out with the rear wheels. If you aren't planning on slamming the car or changing the brakes, you might want to consider going with more aggressive width and backspacing specs. You can only order them once. Make sure you wont have any regrets. I kind of felt bad when I found out people were using the same specs I was using but they didnt know I went mild in the front and then they regretted it when they got in on their car.

4.75" on yours would put the fronts more inward than the car shown with 4.5"
I'd prob suggest running 6" in the rear, and your planned 4.75 up front.

On another note...
YOU STOLE MY RIM CHOICE
I kept my mouth shut for so long about them hoping nobody would notice they are a perfect match for a thirdgen and that i'd get to be the first with em, looks like you'll beat me to them

Also I think 6 would actually push the back out more than I would like...........I was actually thinking of getting a bs of around 5.25 for the back but I like the way the 5.5 looked.

Hey CrazyHawaiian would it be possible to get a shot of you looking down on the back wheel so I could see were it sits? I wanna see how close it was to the fender from that angle............I wanna make sure my rear is tucked just alittle and not dead even with the rear fender.
Also in those pictures are you running a 285 tire or 295? Im curious(spel?) what I could run without any scrubing.
Thx for the reply guys

This pic might help:
I'm running 275's on the rear. And just to let you know, in these pics the car was running Sportline springs in the front. The rear Sportline springs were replaced because it had too much wheelgap for my tastes.
