So I got my Spohn SFC's in the mail yesterday and after getting under the car and doing some investigation on what the best way to weld them on would be, i decided to ask if any of you have installed pics, or good advice. I saw the ones they had on the Spohn website, which gave me a pretty good idea of how they go on. But I want to see or hear from those who have installed these before so I can get any advice that might be helpful. Thanks alot, Im just making sure that im doing this right.

My car is an 89 Iroc, not convert. And they are the weld on SFC's.

I just got mine installed the other day. I can't really get any good pictures of them now though. But if you bolt them to the LCA bracket, then you should be able to figure it out from there. (Take out the bolt that holds the LCAs to the frame and use it to hold the SFCs in place). If I change my oil sometime this week, I'll take some pics for you.


And they do make quite a difference.

 

Cool, is that only for the bolt ons or is that for the weld ons also. I havnt seen bolt ons yet, so i dont really know the difference between the two.

 

go to topdownsolutions and you have bolt sub frame or you could weld them in!

 

Well I took some pics of the driver's side SFC. The passenger side is pretty much the same idea.

Here's looking at the front of the bar. The SFCs were originally powdercoated red, but that was sanded off for welding and they were painted black.



And here's the back end, bolted to the lower control arm...

 

Here is a Older Pair of Spohn SFC's I got for my Car recently . They are Brand New , and have never Been Used . They are the Square Tube Design .

 

Nice looking install, so I guess I'll save some money on the powdercoating. Where do they weld in at the front, any chance of getting a pic of that ? Thx..............

Once you bolt them on, just weld them wherever you can. The end of the main bar (driver's side) doesn't contact anything, if that helps.
