anyone out there using these tires?
my 350 is stock now but wont be for long and i like the idea of driving it to the track .i,m looking at aiming for low 12's high 11's and was wondering will these tires still work w/that much power?
i'm thinking 255-5o-16 on stock iroc rims

I hear these are awesome tires for the track as well as good tires to hook on the street, but they last like 10k miles or alittle more, i wouldnt daily drive with them.
the 16 inch ones should be pretty decent, some 4th gen guys are cutting nice 60 foots and are running low 12s with the 17 inch radials.

Well... someone recently went 7.56 @ 191mph on ET Radials in a stock suspension Mustang so I think you'll be alright at 11's
I think its safe to say they are the best hooking drag radial currently out...

It was David Wolfe. I haven't heard of Big Daddy ever since ET Radials came out... Guess with all that money BFG gives him he wont be switching over to ET radials or dominating that class anymore. Drag Radial class requires stock style suspension both Wolfe and Big Daddy fit in the rules... The torque arm is legal because its supposedly a safety device and not a traction device? but then again thats a touchy subject with a lot of DR guys...

us Florida boys call it factory suspension if it's factory lay-out AND factory bolt-in. - ET streets are awesome, I just hope they release a 315/35/17. Also note that these tires are notorious for breaking factory axles, and I've never seen a set, that go to the track much, run over 6k.

i *try* to make sure mine don't see more street use than to the track and back, but unfortunately, i've had to use them while i'm between street tires (got "new" street tires today actually).
and factory suspension is just that, bolt-in replacement stuff...the only thing i can think of that should be allowed in "stock-style suspension" classes is a set of LCA RB's and a crossmember welded in for the TA to attach to since the back of the transmission won't hold much more than 500ft/lbs.

Yeah i,m gonna order mine asap. track opens march 4th around here and i need to get the car to hook to get consistent .it is stock for now but it will not hook on street tires.
if its stock and not hooking you outta look into suspension pieces and/or perfect your driving. Mickey's will hook it, but then you can start bending/breaking stuff(not necessarily, but it has happend). I went consistent 1.93 on stock suspension and cat-backed L98.

get the lca relocation brackets before you do anything else. i have a set on a *slightly* lowered car (probably 1" in the back over stock hieght, but i make up for it with the tall tires.)
this will help you more than any other suspension mod and will be alot cheaper too! with the lca rb's and my 275/60/15 m/t ET Street Radial, my 305 powered me to consistant 1.75 60's. everything else on my rear suspenions is bone stock...just boxed the factory lca's!

I think i got it !
MT STREETS
LCA RB
PRACTICE
how much of a burnout should i do w/out over doing it?if thats possible.once i,m staged i hold the throttle till the car wants to move then i mash it to the floor and go.w/street tires sometimes that worked but i still get wheel spin in 2nd gear.so once it hooks i should be able to get better . practice makes better and its fun!
thanks guys

I don't know about the M/T E.T.'s but my Hoosier DRs require a heat cycle to properly break them in. Might want to check that out before doing some burn outs and taking it to the track.

these tires don't need much of a burnout. maybe say 10-15 seconds just to clean them off.
and start at around 20psi and go down in 1lb. increments till it works if your still having issues, which i doubt you will.

thats all I do with my nitto's is basically clean them off. Drive around the water, back up to get square, about 3500r's, sidstep the clutch, pull 2nd, 3rd, 4th, right up to the line. Tires are clean, hot and sticky, and the track is now debris free(ever follwed a front drive neon who drove throught the water with no burnout???)
- also - stick car, but I run 6degrees down pinion, and I'm going 1.6X 60fts on 17's...
I'll say it again, I really hope they release a 315/35/17...The BFG's do hook harder than the Nitto's, but when I went to get the last set I was daily driving still. - The ET's are out hookin' the BFG's so, all I can do is wait...
