Transmission: 700r4, corvette servo, 2200 stall
Axle/Gears: 3.27 9 bolt b-w, pbr discs
torque arm bushing

Ok I'm in the middle of swapping out transmission 700r4 and had to swap tail section and figured I might as well put a new TQ arm bushing in and low and behold I can't for the life of me get the old one off. I have all the bolts out and the tail section is on the bench, ready to be put on the new trans but can not get the old one off, WHAT AM I missing? left the nut on so as not to dameage the threads and tried to give a little brass hammer persuasion & absolutely nothing. Don't want to break it, loaded it up w/PB blaster to let set over night and will try again tomorrow with maybe some tech advice, like I said, I don't want to break it pls help

You cannot remove the old rubber bushing? If thats the case, you must drill or grind the "dimples" off. The old rubber one should fall off. Make sure you get the new bushing that has the same slit as your old one. Either the lip will be facing the driveshaft, or away from it.

You cannot get the entire bracket out of the tail housing? How hard have you hit it with the hammer? Sorry, I misread your post the first time.

Well I've hit it pretty good, didn't grunt lol just a few good whacks and I don't want to break the whole tail housing as I need it for my rebiult trans no prob w/the misread brutal, I just want it out to replace the whole bushing and bushing housing so that I may get a new one for install on rebuild. Is there any more that I can do besides load it up w/PB blaster and cross my fingers? Maybe a little heat?

Yes, this is what I want off Brutalform and do they come set in the housing a diff way?

That should slide right out after the bolts are removed. Yes, try some heat, and tapping it out. Be careful not to crack the tail housing. Maybe the brackets studs are bent a little.

You have to lower the rear of the tranny to slide out the piece. If You are just replacing the bushing, you need to drill or cut out the rivits holding the stock one in place.

yeah I get it, and the whole tranny is on my work bench ready for the tail section to be swapped into my newly rebuilt one . It is now half way out as I'm being super careful with it and w/the heat maybe a little more and she'll pop out thanks for the reply

You and me both brother got it half way but afraid of too much heat, had to get a punch once I made it to the caseing of the tail section once again brutal, thanks for your input I probably wouldn't have made it this far without all the help. But I should
put more heat on it cuz I'm sure I'll have to replace the seal anyways, but what about the brass bushing just forward of the seal? it looks great but what do I know I can't even get the F**##** bushing out LOL
