Tody I had a rather nasty shock, hearing a scraping sound I pulled over to find my passenger side rear lower control arm on the rear axle to be hanging from the axle with the body mount still attached. Note that the body mount is no longer attached to the body..... anyone know where if this part is replaceable and if so where to find them......
whoa, either your going to have to put all new floors in that badboy, or take all the good stuff on the car and sell the rest to a salvage yard....that thing is seriously screwed up my friend.
ok be that as it may.... the floor pan and the control arm pocket are 2 different parts..... cant seem to locate a new pocket

Wow! That's the floorboard AND the LCA!.....stick a fork in it - it's done. I don't even see good metal to weld to under there....that's tough man, I feel for ya.

oh my looks like time for a new thrid gen sorry

things are looking pretty bad. It looks doubtfull that you would be able to find good strong metal to weld a new mount onto. To answer your question, you won't find that mount sold anywhere separately. You will have to have one cut out of a car in a salvage yard. Likely, you'll need to have a rather large section cut out of another 3rd gen and weld it onto your body... assuming there is good metal to make it structurally sound. Realistically, there is no easy safe solution and you're best off getting another car.
Yep if theres any good parts pull'm off and get rid of that thing. Find a roller in the classifieds section and put your drivetrain in it.

by the way, where do you live, in the salt belt???
I'd rent a small sand blaster, and a wire feed welder, clean it up and weld it back together. It's a rusty mess, but what else can he do?

Yeah, about the only you're gonna do with that besides scrapping it is clean it up as best you can and weld a plate to it to remount the lower control arm. However unless you can weld I doubt anybody is going to weld it due to possible life safety concerns.
I live in Michigan and the truck is worse off, but its just an off-road toy, the 3000gt is rust free.
If anyone still cares about this project I have figured out that it will be hard but I plan on salvaging it if I can, cars been in my life too long to just give it up that easy, if anyone has an idea where to start wroking at would be of much help. Here is what I know, the rockers are in rough shape, door are shot, the rear fender just behind the door is rusty and dented. I want to run an all new floor in the car. Everything eles other than the tranny can be saver with a little work.
