help broken bolt

help broken bolt
while removing my gas tank i broke the bolt that goes from the drivers side with the 3 bolts over the the passenger side above the panhard bar and gm can't find it...please help...thanx guys.......

Your talking about the rear reenforcement bar correct?
I dont have the specific bolt size, but if I can get outside later I'll see if its listed in the manual.

Ehh do a search on here. the part number is listed and the bolt is IIRC about a $2.00 but the nut is about 5 if you need that.

GM has the bolt for $7, it's an M12 thread, coarse, I think, M14 shoulder, that makes sure you put the bolt in from one side, and not the other side. You could probably drill out the other side of the bracket, and just use an M14 bolt. Use a 12.9, or 10.9, don't settle for an 8.8 bolt.
The nuts are standard "stover" nuts, aka all metal conical locking thread nuts. GM has them for $12 per, which is a joke, any self respecting bolt supply house will sell you them for $1 per. Do NOT use a normal nut, nylock or lockwashers are OK, but I highly recommend the stover.
