Whats causing this noise??

hey,

I have a really annoying noise coming from the rear end of the car. Whenever i go over a bump, i get this popping sound coming from there. Even if i am going really slowly over a bump it makes the popping sound. I was wondering what the source of this noise?

Thanks Alot in Advance

that's what I was refering to....I ment to say the rear sway bar mounts, and the LCA's go from the back of the rear "frame"(if U can call it that) to the rear, also you might want to see if an exauast hanger broke and the exauast is hitting somthing when you hit a bump

Mine does that on the driverside. I changed the wheel bearings and it still does it. I think the shaft is shot. Is it on one side or the other?

well its just on the drivers side, it only happens when the car hits a small bump.

Jack up the rear of the car and wiggle the wheels and see if they make the noise. I can put my hands and 9 and 3 o'clock and wiggle and it makes the same noise. Mine does it when I hit small bumps too. If it's a quik bump it does it but if it's a longer bump it's fine.

Also, check your shock mount, control arm mounts, panhard mounts. Make sure everything is tight.
