1983 Camaro
I am putting a big block in this and was wondering what kind of heavy duty springs should i use in the front for drag racing?
Where can i get a good lowering kit for the car?
Where can i get the best frame connectors (weld in)?
Is it worth it to back half this thing?
I am wanting to go high 10's on motor

For drag racing you really shouldn't be looking for stiff front springs. You'd be looking for soft front springs and 90/10-style dampers (if struts for our cars are even made like that) that have little rebound damping and lots of compression damping. You'd probably want stiff rear springs, though. You should probably check out Jeg's for some drag-oriented suspension setups, because these are extremely different than setups designed to help you corner faster.

yea, lowering the car is for guys with neon lights underneath, you want to go fast straight line, don't bother.
moog 5664 is the stiffest parts store spring you can put in the front, a good choice for a big block, but more of a street application. Drag racing might like a different spring up there.

Let me clarify something, too. I figure you asked for a stiffer front spring to keep the ride height the same after you add 200lbs of extra engine weight, right? And that would definitely be one way to achieve that. But you could keep the same spring and just use springs with a longer free length (or softer springs that are even longer). And if Spohn has a drag-race coilover setup, you can just raise the preload collars on those to get any ride height you want, regardless of spring rate. And those would also probably allow you more choices of rates and free lengths when you select the springs. I'd definitely check those out if you have money left over after the engine buildup.

you can use moroso trick springs up front with a 90/10 strut
as for subframe connectors any weld in is god try competion enginering
if you want to drag race the car do not lower it it will not transfer the weight to get traction
as for back halfing the car you dont need to
the stock suspension works very well when it is set up right
