Nice stance with a big tire

Hi all,

I am looking to fill the rear fender well with the biggest tire possible WITHOUT rubbing. I want the tire inside the wheel well to give it a nice stance. Any pics, tire sizes, and back spacing info for this wheel and tire combo?

Depends how big you want to go. My car has 29.5 x 10.5 slicks but also have a few inner fender modifications.

What size rims are you thinking of? I can give you some insight but I need to know what you have in mind.

It can be any size because I am going to buy new rims. Let me know what size rims and backspacing you are running.

15 x 10 with 5.5" backspace is the most common largest size.

I need to know what size rims you want (15", 16", 17" or 18"). It does make a difference especially if you want wide tires and keep the tire height stock as to not affect the accuracy of the speedo too much. Send me a PM with your email address and I will give you some options. Also you need to tell me if you plan on running stock brakes or aftermarket. This will affect the backspacing you can use.

I have 15x8" rims with 5.5" backspacing and can easily fit a 27x11.5 QTP. I once ran 28x10.5" ET Drags but I had to do some beating. I don't really like the look most 15x10" rims give because they tend to make the tire stick out past the fender lip.

Heres the car with the ET Drags ...them puppies were huge yet tucked under the car perfectly.

Not to steal the thread, but whats the largest tire I could fit under my stock GTA with the stock rims in back. Gonna stay original up front, just want to fill up the rear fender a little more

not true, you can fit a 295/50/16 tire on your gta wheels with some inner fender modifications with a BFH. though it's NOT the best size to run for handling. here's the same size on an IROC wheel on my camaro:

Thats exactly the look im going for. Whats the tire size? Width in mm, and sectional width appropriately. Not sure how to convert them. Any fender mods to that car?

oh gee, i must be blind and some how missed all the writing with the picture....

How about i reword the question to, what is a 27x11.5 QTP in a more conventional tire standard called? 275/60? 275/50? etc... Same for the 28x10.5 ET drags.

Dont bother answering that question, ill just convert it when i have time.

Thats easy to do. Especially when your eyes start going bad like mine. Thats why we like to limit pics to three, and you should only post your signature on your first post/reply.
