torque arm for street car

I have a 350 in my car that is making around 400 hp. I want to get a torque arm for this car. I know the jegster design is shorter which gives you more traction, but since it is shorter will it cause wheel hop under hard braking? Since the jegster unit bolts to the tunnel does it get in the way of the ebrake cables? Another option would be to get a built up stock design from someone such as umi? I think my exhaust might get in the way of the sphon cross member so that option is out. Do I have any other options for a torque arm, and which would be the best choice?

there is no wheel hop under any condition i run M/T DR's and i have pulled the best of 1.8 60' which is on shitty track in orlando but what makes it even better is that i pulled a 1.8 60' with a set of street tires fulda extremo's to be honest love the tires. ground clearance could be better be just mount higher and that can be taken care of. dont let that stop you from getting it. Reading BMR's website I realized the trak pak will not work with diamond style sub frame connectors, are umi sub frame connectors considered diamond style.

shorter arms work to a point, once you hit a certain point with hp, longer starts working better. - Every car is different. Most street apps with under 550hp are usually better with the shorter arms.
Shorter arms will react faster, thus planting the tires better up until the point where higher power levels cause too quick of a reaction, thus causing rebound and the loss of traction. - Many people on this board have run the jegster unit and like it. Make sure you get an adjustable, and since you're spending the money, don't even consider the trans mounted units.

- What else do you have suspension wise? LCA relocates and good bushings and shocks are more important....

...and for note, Dan's car still has more in it with some tune time....

my bmr works great for my 260hp or so traction. The install cant be beat. Its a great piece with no mods necessary.

What I have upgraded so far is new z28 springs, umi lca, umi lca relocation brackets, umi panhard bar, umi sub frame connectors, and wonderbar. I have also replaced the shocks, and struts with some autozone ones. Does the jegster unit work with the parking brake cables or do you need to relocate them?

The car already has limited ground clearence becuase of the smaller front tires and long tube headers. I was learning towards the jegster unit for this reason. Is it possible to rotate the attachment bar with the BMR TA so that it has more clearence?

Yes, the BMR crossmember could be rotated for more ground clearance. If I had looked closer while doing dan's I would have done so on his. There's plenty of exhaust room for his 3", hell, plenty for a 4" i-pipe. Rotating the bar slightly would be fine, but you'd have to double check everything, since rotating the hump upwards would rotate the mount tabs around to the front or rear instead of straight up. - If you do a search on the BMR track pack, there's a thread which I posted everything about the install. - AS for the jegster unit, I've never used/installed one myself, but if you search there's plenty of info on it. - hit the TGO search key up top.....

Yeah you can keep the stock ebrake cable in the stock place with the jegster TQ arm.

I have the jegster on my car and love it.
