Like the topic says. Just wondering if you had to pull the console to install the F-Body Driveshaft Safety Loop? I downloaded their instructions, and it says to remove the seats, sill plates, and kick panels. No mention of the console. What was your experiences? Thanks.

To do it properly you'll need to remove the seats and carpet or at least lift the carpet up to the driveshaft tunnel. The console could probably stay in place.

Cheap, poor way to do it is to drill holes from the underside right through the carpet and just bolt it in but then you'll see the bolts and washers on top of the carpet.

You do not have to remove the console. Removing the front seats, sill plates, and lifting the carpet will get it done. BTW, what exhaust system are you using? The reason I ask, is if you are using the Mufflex "Y" pipe, you will need to modify the loop.

I running SLP 1 3/4 shorties into a single 3 inch. They claim they are 2 1/2 O.D., but they measure 2 1/4 O.D. My "y" is where the dual factory converters used to be. A dual 2 1/2 into a single 4 inch is on my list to do here shortly.
