Upper strut retainers

Please tell me the part nuber of the GM strut retainers .Or a place where I can get them . I see sphon has them but they are 200$ is thier any other place I can get them . Would rather spend the money on his a-arms .Thanks

hot part.com has a new style out looks good to me.. and its chaper on ebay btw...
im thinkin of gettin these they are 197.50 with 20 shipping not bad

OEM replacements from CarQuest are about $80 per.

yes but i see he has a 85 with the differant style the ones from car quest wont fit w/o new retainer bolt thing and new holes =$$ this one comes with em alredy and will fit-82-92 style..

I picked up the correct retainers for $10 at a bone yard. FYI, here's what I discovered some time ago (note that Spohn took interest):

I could not find that website hot part.com what do I look for on ebay . I think some one replaced mine with the later style .It looks like I have the retainer bolt thing in the wheelwell .How did the older ones mount

Just read the bearing plate post and see that they both have the retainer bolt plate . I will have to bring my part in and compare to the photos .I like those hotparts but just cant fined them on ebay

type in caster camber plates on ebay and youll find em ther are 2 on there

Thanks guys I do have the 82-86 plates ,James your photos wer verry helpful. Now the ? is can I get the stock style aftermaket replacements for the 82-86 (Part nubers).

I have the older style HotPart design and I love them. I would reccomend theirs.

I belive that the come with thier own bolt plate .If not I will have to get the newer styel bolt retainer . My parts with be hear tomarrow I will post up and let you know .

Ok my hotpart C&C plates came today . They come with all the hardwhere and the bolt retainer is the same as the early year cars (82-86).They look real good, but I do not think I can get the stock dust cover to work . I will have to fab something up .Thanks guys if I remeber I will post up when I drive with them . It will be a few more weeks .

check rockauto.com as well they have them pretty cheap for basic replacements.
