rear end noise.....help. 1989 TA

I put the Eibach 2" lowering springs, all Spohn tubular bars underneath, Mosar 12 bolt, LCA brackets, Spohn panhard, frame connectors and roll cage on my 1989 TA. It had a terrible rear end noise EXCEPT when you let off the gas. I moved the pinion angle up and down....no help. It was terrible. I finally put the original 9 bolt and factory torque arm back in. The noise is still there, not nearly as loud, but still pretty loud. I cut the front off the factory tourqe arm and moved it up 3/4 inch and rewelded it...no good. Moved it down 3/4 inch...no good. What gives? What else could it possibly be? The factory stuff was completely quiet before I did all this. I have a lift here at work and I've had the car in the air probably 20 times trying to find the problem with no luck. I called Spohn today and they ddidn't seem to have an answer.
Any ideas?? Jimmy at jddani@aol.com

Also, the car runs 11.90s with cold a/c and all power options and is for sale with BOTH rear ends. Mosar 4:11 12 bolt complete bolt in and the factory 9 bolt 3:73. Super, super car......13,500.00

I have still not solved my problem. When you are accelerating with either rear end, it's very loud (sounds like a pinion bearing) but when you let off the gas, it goes quiet. You barely have to touch the gas and it starts back up. Does anybody have ANY ideas?

If it didnt have the problem before you started, it has to be something you did. Maybe something is loose?

Re: rear end noise.....help. 1989 TA

its the rear, they are aftermarket performance gears and they make noise, im sure if you rear the paperwork included with the moser rear it will tell you that, mine did. Mine make the worse noise when letting off the gas decelerating, annoying, but not that bad

Thats strange, your absolutely positive that its coming from the rear? Maybe the driveshaft or brakes? Did you mess with the yokes?

Re: rear end noise.....help. 1989 TA

I lowered it, put the tubular bars on and added the mosar rearend all at the same time. I've had it on my rack countless times and checked and rechecked everything I can think of. Finally I gave up and put the stock 9 bolt back in and the noise was still there! Again, I've checked everything I can think of to check. I've had new u joints and had the shaft balanced. As soon as you let off the gas the noise is gone. When you get back on the gas (even just a little) it's whining like MAD. It has to be related to lowering it because swapping the rears didn't make a difference. What else could it be? THANKS for all the help!!

Mine has a 700R4 but it was totally quiet before I messed with it. Thats what keeps puzzling me. I'm just missing something.
