9 bolt torque arm?
9 bolt torque arm?
Is the torque arm any diffrent for the 9 bolt rear the only reason I ask is every one I look at says it fits the 10 bolt I am sure they are the same but that is my next purchase so thought I would ask and for a daily driver and limited strip time car is the adjustable arm worth the money?

Re: 9 bolt torque arm?
do a search..there is a member on here i forget his name...the edelbrock torque arm can fit on the 9 bolt rear, but you have to shave something off of it to work....he says it works fine. i was going to do that but i am getting a lt1 rear end in my car so i am just waiting until i put that in there.

Re: 9 bolt torque arm?
The torque arms are the same for both 9-bolts and 10-bolts. The only difference is the early thirdgen years have a torque arm facing a different direction than the later thirdgen years. That is fixed with a torque arm mount swap.

My "guess" is that the OE piece is curved to accomodate both 9- and 10-bolt rears.
