Just what the title says, are they all the same? I seem to remember something about the early ones being different but I don’t remember how, anyone know for sure?

 

For the most part yes. Its the spindle stops that are riveted to them limiting the turn radius that is different. The 15 inch skinnier tire cars got a better turn radius where as the 16 inch wider wheel performance cars got bigger steering limiters riveted to them. Most ou will see is the 15" version. Just learn not to turn the wheel to full lock so the tire does not rub on the inner fenderwell.

 

Are you sure? I know that the stops in the steering boxes were different but I thought that the stops on the control arms were all the same… I guess that either way they were riveted in the same spot and at least that is easy to compare.

Currently I have 2 3rd gens that came with 16” wheels from the factory, and a set of control arms from one that came with 15” wheels in the garage and want to modify the ones off the car for a quick swap onto the car (they had poly bushings and new ball joints installed not long before the car was parted out also). At least they were all WS6 cars…
