What rear springs should I use?

I have an 88 Formula with a sbc and nitrous. I have all PA Racing front suspension parts including a coil over conversion. The rear suspension is all BMR (extreme). In the rear I have a fully built 9'' from Moser with Strange adjustible shocks but dont know what springs to run. With the power it made on the dyno it should go 8.50 easily if i can get it to hook.Any sugestions?

I have the stock springs on the rear of mine. The rest of my suspension is pretty much the same as yours. Have been 8.70's with 1.27 60 foot on drag radials so far. It should go a bit quicker this year. Good luck with your car.

Re: What rear springs should I use?

thanks Radial, i was wondering if your car sat higher in the back than in the front? mine does a bit and i think its because the factory springs are maybe to long.i dont want to cut them and ive been told by a couple of guys to run lowering springs outback and that it will help my plant the tires a bit more.what do you think? im running slicks by the way

I cut 1/2 coil off of them. Here's a pic of how it sits. Thats with 30" tall back tires. It sits level with the 28" tall on it.

Thanks. I'll see if I have any pics of it with the 28" tires on it and post it up for you to see.

In that pic it has 15x9 with 5.5bs and 295/65/15 M/T drag radials. It took some mods to the front of the inner wheelwell and rolling the lip to fit them. I know have 15x10 with 6.5bs which required some more surgery to the wheelwell and removal of the bumpstop humps.

that 295/65 looks KILLER!
any pics of the mods required?
do you have a stock length rear end?
ive had a similar setup under the car and the tire almost stuck out on mine. it was no where near tucked like the pic above.

The rear is stock length. I will get some pics next time I have the rear tires off.
