how low can you go

These are my wheels all around 18" x 9.5". And these are my tires sizes all around 275/35. My question is how low could i lower my car and still be able to drive down your average road without worrying?

Re: how low can you go

Depends on the roads your drive on. I'm comfortable with my 2.5" drop in front, 2" in the rear. Some guys are down 3"+ and still drive theirs quite often. Just have to check clearance on your specific car. Seems every one is just a little different.

And your driving style. Do you mind coming to a stop for a speed bump, and creep over it. Or do you like hitting is at 10mph?

Driveways...Does having to angle into them bother you, or would you prefer to just hit the head-on?

Most of it, is up to YOUR driving style, and what your wiling to compromise on.

When you start hitting your transmission cover you went too low.

That's what the TD Performance SlamGuard transmission oil pan, is for...3/16" STEEL plate on the bottom!

Transmission cover? Do you guys not know how to shift and steer at the same time? Stick > Auto.

Re: how low can you go

Evidentally I scrape quite a bit. A few of my friends live out in the sticks and the roads aren't too great out there. Quite a spark show at midnight around 65mph from behind me.

I scrape the air dam/bumper if I pull into parking spots too far, I scrape my SFCs (MAC style) and my t56 xmember. I've gotten high centered on that before.

Re: how low can you go

insane,
when I drive my car, or any manual for that matter, I ususally have my right hand on the stick all the time, and the left on the wheel.
If I have to turn the wheel that far I just palm it. Palm on the wheel with enough prossure to turn it.
I drive auto's like that too.

Show me how to drive with one arm, and I'll be happy to. Or maybe, you'll just donate your left one to me....

That practice may cause premature internal wear (shift forks).

I go wheelin with a guy that daily drives a Toyota truck that's a stick. He drives it WITHOUT arms. The guy is nuts! Much respect to him and you if you're implying you've lost an appendage. I'd go crazy!

Oh it does, I wore out 3rd gear doing that. Buy a pro 5.0 or something with adjustable stops and you'll be better off.

Man how is that truck setup. Has it been modified to do everything with his feet?

Re: how low can you go

He had a suicide **** on the steering wheel with a T-handle on it and a T handle on the shifter but that was about it.

I got a "suicide ****" from Tractor Supply for my GTA. Cheap & easy. Cops never say squat about it. I always thought they were illegal, but they aren't. At least, not here in TX.

And he steers with his feet?
