Need drag set up help
The car is starting to have an issue where its bitting on the first bit of the hit, but as soon as the body starts to move, the car is squating hard, nose comes all the way up, but tires stay on the ground, and then the car spins until 2nd. This is on a fresh set of 26 11.50 MTs heated up at the track. Currently im running the middle hole on the low control arm relocation brackets, tubular LCAs. Car sags a little bit with stock V-6 springs and front struts. Junk Monroe sensitrac shocks on the back, looking at some QA1's for the rear. Im still running the stock T/A.
Its cool to watch but is not getting the 60's it should. Best so far is a 1.76
Any tips on setting this car up? Its been steadily making 11.9x @ 115-116mph passes

Try the bottom hole on the LCA brackets, got mine there and the back end doesn't squat anymore. Never tried the middle hole though.

Re: Need drag set up help
Right: "squat" = not enough LCARB.... your car's back end looks pretty low, might just need to be in a lower hole to get the LCAs to the right angle.
Experiment with the LCARB settings, air pressure, and better shocks. Not necessarily in that order.
You may also find that adding air bags to raise the rear a bit might be better than going lower on the LCARBs.

Re: Need drag set up help
you want the rear springs tight as you can find, when your car "squats" as you say actually what is happening is the rearend is unloading, basically climbing up into the wheel wells, you have transfer but no way to apply the power if the axle jumps off the ground....my car never 60`d until I went off the trans brake and it still is only in the 1.4`s.
You can also try 70/30 front shocks to tame the launch and definetly if you can afford the qa1`s..run them on the stiff side in the rear, it will be a world of difference. Look real close at video, if your car lifts before it moves you have plenty of lower control arm angle, beside the torque arm does all the transfer IMO, the lower arms just fight it or help it.

Re: Need drag set up help
The car isnt lowered just yet, just sagging stock springs lol, it will be getting dropped another inch here shortly, but only after i get it to somewhat hook where its at. Ive tried air pressure in different points, i had it at 18 at the track, but have tried 12-22 on the street. In some vids, the car squats real hard onto the right corner, so i guess, its just going to be up to experimentation to get it to leave better

buy air bags. 15-25psi in the pass bag
5-10 psi in the drivers side

Re: Need drag set up help
you mainly need it in the passenger side rear coil.. i had the problem with the rightward lean.. doing burnouts, she would leave a nice thick mark on the drivers tire and a scuff from the passengers.. now i use 4 coil spring spacers as an airbag in the passenger spring and it leaves perfectly symmetrical burn marks.. that will help the lean, as for the unloading, the other guys got it down.. experiment..

Re: Need drag set up help
you really need an adjustable torque arm.
the lca needs to be in the bottom hole no matter.
are you running a rear sway bar?
hope the front sway bar is off.
sounds like your front end is rising quickly for launch, but the wore out shocks are setting the nose down to fast and killing your transfer after the initial hit
shocks/struts will help, but you need to have the entire package correct.
good luck.

An adj ta might do quite a bit, ill see over time. Tried launching it slower a few times tonight on the street, and rolling into the throttle all through first, and it stayed bit up until the top of first when it was matted. The car still rolled out pretty strong though.
