For all of you who have been patiently waiting (And I truly appreciate the patience!) The A-Arms are finally completed and orders will be shipping in 1-3 business days. They are just finishing up welding and then colors just need sorted for powder coat.
Again I really appreciate those who have waited, it means a lot to me. I again thank you and insure you will be very pleased with the item.

Those look sweet! Is that price shipped or pre-shipping? I've been looking for a set of these. Let's get some feedback and installation pics up from those of you with orders already placed.

Re: A-Arms FINALLY Completed!
I see no reason for this? A delrin bushing is harder then polyurethane and allows less give then a polyurethane bushing would. So replacing the poly bushing with delrin would lead to a firmer ride and more bind. What are the reasons for wanting this set-up?

maybe rod ends would be another option, and it would allow people to eff with their alignment more.

Well, it is supposed to be a multi-piece bushing from what I've gathered that is supposed to work more like rubber. Maybe I'm mistaken.

Re: A-Arms FINALLY Completed!
No fitment issues with the new A arms. But Stevo and I did have a hell of a time getting the bolt out on the pass side A arm, the bolt towards the rear. It's close to the exhaust and I think that seized it up. Anyways, we tried cutting it, that didn't work. So we ended up torching it. Oh, the other problem we had was the spring compressor I had didn't work, we couldn't get the "hands" on the spring coil. So I had to buy a new one.
But all in all, another great product from UMI

Re: A-Arms FINALLY Completed!
fortunately i shouldn't have any bolt issues, i replaced them a few years ago when i put in poly bushings so they should still be ok.
I hate spring compressors, they all suck.
I should get mine on this week/weekend

Re: A-Arms FINALLY Completed!
Just as a warning: I borrowed a similar type spring compressor from my stepdad that he has used for 25 years. And the "hooks" weren't big enough to grab the Eibach springs. It would have been fine with a stock spring though.
No, they did not lower the car, the Springs took care of my drop. I mean, I know that the Spohn A arms, an earlier model, did. But UMI is a totally different company.
Why even ask, do you assume that all tubular A arms lower the car

Re: A-Arms FINALLY Completed!
Any rubbing issues with these a-arms? I see that they have no steering stops like the factory ones due. I know my sphon have no stops and I think that is part of my rubbing probelms.

Re: A-Arms FINALLY Completed!
its been discussed many times, the first design Spohn A-arms are messed up. they lower the car and move the wheel back a little, causing rubbing.
there are no a-arms specifically designed to lower the car, racecraft(spl) does however make lowering spindles.

Re: A-Arms FINALLY Completed!
i was looking at the spindles. but for the money you can jsut convert to coil over . which is a better setup for drag anyway. so thats proably what ill end up doing.

Re: A-Arms FINALLY Completed!
are they rubbing because of the lack of a steering stop or did the wheel move in/out front/back?

Re: A-Arms FINALLY Completed!
I think the body is actually sitting right now. Before it was a tad lower, so the spots I trimmed in the wheel well, are going to have to be trimmed a little more. I know the steering box has stops built into them. So I don't think the lack of stop has anything to do with the rubbing. Nor do I think the new A arms changed the position of the wheels. At least the wheels and tires look like are exactly the same as before.
On my car, the plastic inner fenders are not in the best of shape, the aren't attached at all the mounting points, they are kinda bent and twisted up. I think thats the biggest reason for the rubbing.
I fixed the issue with the drivers side tie rods today, so tomorrow the alignment can finally get done and I'll put my 275s back on and see what the deal is then.

Re: A-Arms FINALLY Completed!
Thanks for posting the info you have Kris, it helps me
Its 5-1/2 lbs per set is the weight savings... not a tremendous savings, I know. We did the best we could with sacrificing strength of a daily driver. If it was a drag only A-Arm I think we can get another 5 or so pounds out of it.
For ride height, we had the height with in a 1/8" when designing them.. every car with vary slightly, but they do not change the height.
If I can help anymore please ask. Thank you!

Re: A-Arms FINALLY Completed!
Ryan, I'm ready to buy a set of these, but would like to buy a strut tower brace at the same time. I doin't see the adjustable one that I'd been hearing about on your site. Is it available, and if so how much is it?
